Kim came on first as Cody and Ashley's stylist — before she was ever running a company for them, she was helping them figure out how they wanted to look and show up. That eye is part of why aura.refract exists at all: a real-time aura-photography brand, born out of styling and creative instinct, that turns any browser into an aura camera — no app, no hardware, ten seconds, free.
She's not a Tomblin, and that's the point. Refract Ventures is the operating company behind a family enterprise, but it isn't only family — Kim is the first outside operator brought in to run one of its companies, as co-founder and CEO. Ashley is the other co-founder; Ashley owns the lens, the brand, the voice, and the creative direction — Kim owns whether the business actually runs: operations, revenue, finances, fundraising, hiring, and growth. Jacey Tomblin rounds out the founding trio as co-founder of social & QA — the words, the replies, and the quality check before anything ships.
Together they're building aura.refract as its own thing — its own site, its own team, its own way of working — while staying part of the wider Refract family of brands.
